You are invited to submit scores/project for the International Society for Contemporary Music (ISCM) World New Music Days 2017, taking place in Vancouver, Canada from November 2-8, 2017. In the spirit of the ISCM’s embrace of aesthetic diversity, submissions are encouraged in a wide variety of styles, reflecting the plurality of new music today. Nuno Costa wins the ISCM Young Composer Award 2015

 

 

 

 

On 2 October 2015, at the final concert on of the ISCM World Music Days in Ljubljana, Slovenia, the winner of the 2015 ISCM Young Composer Award (supported by Music on Main) was announced. It is the aim of the ISCM to promote exposure, research, and performance of contemporary music on an international scale, and to showcase diversity in musical creation, without prejudice to differences in musical expressions, styles, genres or media; nor regarding race, religion or politics.

 

ISCM World Music Days 2015 in Slovenia

 

 

 

 

The next ISCM World Music Days will take place in Slovenia from September 26 to October 2, 2015. All information can be seen on the festival website.

 

CALL FOR WORKS ISCM WMDF 2016 Tongyeong, South Korea

 

 

 

 

Tongyeong International Music Festival kindly invites composers to submit their scores, projects or installations. The ISCM World Music Days will take place in Tongyeong, South Korea, from 29 March to 3 April, 2016. According to the “Rules of Procedure for the Organisation of the ISCM World Music Days Festival”, submissions should be either official (by ISCM Members) or individual.

 

2017 World New Music Days in Vancouver

 

 

 

 

2017 The ISCM (International Society for Contemporary Music) Canadian Section is pleased to announce that its bid to host the 2017 World New Music Days in Vancouver was unanimously approved! ISCM Canadian Section President Jim Hiscott presented the bid in partnership with Vancouver-based organization Music on Main's artistic director David Pay during the recent 2014 World New Music Days in Wroclaw, Poland.

 

2014/10/12 Local Composers to Serve on Jury of the Young Composer Award

 

 

 

 

The ISCM is pleased to announce that distinguished composers Tomoko Fukui (Japan), Javier Hagen (Switzerland), and Eva Lopszyc (Argentina) have been chosen to serve as the international jury for the 2014 Young Composers Award which is to be held as part of the ISCM World Music Days in Wroclaw, Poland this coming October.
