Biography

Born in Seoul, Republic of Korea, Hyunsuk Jun studied at ChuGye University for the Arts, Korea National University of Arts and Universität für Musik und Darstellende Kunst, Graz, Austria. his principal teachers were Seongjoon Moon, Jiyoun Choi, Sungho Hwang, Beat Furrer, and Marko Ciciliani. Jun's works have performed, installed and showcased at various countries such as USA, Germany, Italia, Belgium, Austria and Japan. He was awarded to Austria in Styria 600 anniversary of the Congress commission and Music Promotion Prize of the City of Graz 2012 (Musik Förderungspreis der Stadt Graz 2012), 2014 Arbeitsstipendium von dem Bundesministerium für Unterricht, Kunst und Kultur. He took a First Prize in International Composition Competition ITALY 150 and a Winer in International Composition Competition FRANCO EVANGELISTI 2013. His work <Der Schatten des Wassertropfens> was published by Casa Ricordi and another work <The Garden of Kronos> was published by Suvini Zerboni.
