Chihchun Chi-sun Lee
Winner of the 1st Brandenburg Symphony International Composition Competition in Germany and 2015 Guggenheim Fellow, is originally from Kaohsiung, Taiwan and currently an invited professor at Ewha Womans University in Seoul, Korea.
Her honors include commissions/performances by the Harvard Fromm Music Foundation, the Taiwan National Culture and Arts Foundation, Taiwan National Symphony Orchestra, National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra, National Orchestra of Korea, Taiwan National Chinese Orchestra, Förderverein Brandenburger Symphoniker, Philharmonia Bulgalica, Kiev Philharmonic, Korean Symphony Orchestra, Gyeonggi Philharmonic Orchestra and Qingdao Symphony Orchestra. Awards from Theodore Front Prize from International Alliance for Women in Music, ISCM/ League of Composers Competition, International Festival of Women Composers Composition Prize, ARKO (Arts Council Korea) Contemporary Orchestra Awards, and the Golden Melody Awards nomination for “best composer” (aka Taiwanese Grammy). Her music is frequently performed and broadcasted worldwide, which includes Carnegie Hall, the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, Taiwan National Concert Hall, National Theatre of Korea, Gugak Center, Seoul Arts Center and China National Centre for the Performing Arts.
