Biography

Sheila Sanfeliz Lillar (1991)
She studied at the Arts Academy of Florence in Mexico City, where she obtained a bachelor degree in music with specialization in composition. She studied composition with Ricardo Perera. She started musical studies at the Center for Research in Music Studies (CIEM). She also studied classical guitar with Tomás Barreiro since 2010. She participated in different forums organized by the academy where she worked with different ensembles, Ensemble Liminar, Ensemble Modelo 62 and Ensemble Orkvs. She assisted to different seminaries given by the percussioniste Robyn Schulkowsky. She assisted to the 48. International Summer Course for New Music in Darmstadt where she had master classes with Georges Aperghis, Roger Reynolds and Brian Ferneyhough.

Her musical interests are extended also to the field of mexican music, electronic music, flamenco and jazz. Now a days she is studying a master degree in composition at the Royal Conservatorium of Antwerpen with the composer Wim Henderickx and trumpet with Steven Verhaert.
