Biography

Born in Seoul, he studied composition and computer music at GachonUiversity, the Korean National University of Arts in Korea and University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music where he received Doctor of Musical Arts in composition.

He was awarded grand prize in computer music contest by KEAMS and his acoustic and electro-acoustic works have been selected in contemporary music concerts and festivals such as Chosun-Ilbo, Pan Music Festival, SICMF in Seoul, KOBE in Japan, FEMF at Florida, LITSK Festival at Princeton, CCRMA at Stanford and Sonic Explorations at Cincinnati in USA. His recent saxophone work was selected at International World Saxophone Congress XVI.

He is currently a member of KEAMS and ISCM section in Korea and he has been teaching a composition at Gachon University and Korea National University of Arts.
