Zaremba, Drew 

 
 

 

Biography

Drew Zaremba is quickly earning a reputation as a passionate bandleader, innovative writer, and fiery performer. Zaremba is enjoying a versatile career as a composer, arranger, conductor, saxophonist, and hammond organ player in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. Drew is working on a Masters degree in Jazz Composition and Arranging from the University of North Texas, where he studies with Rich deRosa, works as a TF in the arranging program and directs the 4 O’ Clock Lab Band. While studying here he played tenor and lead alto saxophone with the renowned One O' Clock Lab Band and in the All-American College Band at Disneyland. Mr. Zaremba also received the ASCAP Herb Alpert Young Jazz Composers Award for his piece “Race to the Finish”, 2nd prize in the Vandoren Emerging Artist competition, and eight Downbeat Awards; three as a winner in improvisation, original composition, and small group in a funk style.
