  • Program notes: 

    ​5 Moving Speakers​ is a kinetic speaker system that uses linear motion to explore space. This is done by varying the phase relationship of sound by altering the position of the speakers. The system allows for the physical moving of sound (from left to right), a phenomena only usually experienced through phantom imaging. Some works for the system also explore the noise of the motors, examining notions of causality of the sounds that emanate from mechanical music making systems, while also blurring the lines of what acousmatic music is.

  • Technical specs: 

    I would require access to power. I would also need a 2.5x2.5 metre space for install. I would also require approx. 90 minutes for setup and packdown. It would be best suited indoors in a more open space (as opposed to a staircase etc)
