Notes

  • Program notes:

I wrote Mal’achei Stav in 2008, in purpose to promote the production of my other piece, semi-aleatoric chamber opera Symbiosis. Encouraged by the idea of writing a light orchestral piece, which will help the other piece to be premiered, I couldn’t avoid the connection between the two. Whereas my opera is telling a story of a frog wishing to be a bird, my orchestral work is trying to be a ”translation” of musical material, K.545 of Mozart – to other musical languages. Whether the “translation” mission successes or not - the plan worked!

Mal’achei Stav was awarded an Acum Price in 2010, which made possible the partly production of Symbiosis in 2011.
