Basic information

Notes

  • Program notes:

“Y la luna se olvido de dar la hora”, for symphony orchestra , was composed in 2016.. The tittle of the pieces comes from a lyric image from the poem LUNA ( moon ) which belongs to Vicente Huidobro´s cycle, “Poemas árticos”.
My composition is divided in three parts. The first one is build over two ideas , the first one is based over melodic gestures with irregular rhythmic pulsation. The second one is the opposite of the first with regular pulsation and strong lines in the bass voices.
The second part is build over long melodic lines with very slow tempos with regular rhythmic pulsation and with big pauses between them.
The third and last part of the piece is buid withelements of the first two parts, which create a dialogue that leads to the conclusion of the piece represented of a musical duo between Tuba and Contrabasses.
