Hille, Sid: NOW

Basic information

Notes

  • Program notes:

Every sound is born in the NOW, when pianist and composer Sid Hille from Helsinki, Finland, improvises with .....(local musicians). Hille uses electric and acoustic piano, synthesizers, the mystical theremin and other electronics as well as percussion instruments to create soundscapes. The dialogue and chemistry with the other musicians involved is of high importance, as is the presence of the audience. Every creation is unique and unrepeatable.

Accurate duration: to be agreed upon on location

  • Technical specs:

Hille uses a Fender Rhodes electric piano and an acoustic piano if available, Hille brings his own electronic instruments. Hille needs a keyboard-amplifier and two microphones (one for percussion, one for speech/singing). Other than that, only a proper PR-system is needed (depending on the concert venue)
