Notes

  • Program notes:

A spinning disk with meaningless words in French, is replaced by a spiral design consisting of lines with different thickness and which they rotate with different direction each time. These are the elements of this black and white, silent movie (France, 1926) by the Dadaist artist Marcel Duchump (1887-‐1968), which I wanted to express musically. For that I chose the sound color of the vibraphone using mainly chromatic melodic themes in continuous flow, with a relative circular motion and an ascending or descending melodic movement respectively.
