Basic information

Notes

  • Program notes:

The work, presented as a triptych, is situated in a project entitled Mikromedas. Mikromedas is a data-driven musical project in which compositions are elaborated using data from space, deep space and astrophysical simulation models. The presented work focuses on a sonic representation of a hypothetical voyage from earth to the supermassive black hole, Sagittarius A*, situated in the centre of our Milky Way. The realisation of the piece relies on new data sonification techniques developed by the composer for data coming from earths atmosphere, the planet Uranus and gravitational waves produced by mergers of various types of astrophysical black holes.
