2014/08/02-08/16 47th Darmstadt International Summer Courses for New Music

On 2 August, the 47th Darmstadt International Summer Courses for New Music will open under the artistic direction of Thomas Schäfer with Karlheinz Stockhausen’s legendary composition Carré for four orchestras, four choirs, and four conductors, and Sir Harrison Birtwistle’s Cortege. The two-week festival (2-16 August 2014) features over 30 concerts, performances, semi-scenic musical theater events and experimental interventions that will take place in several different locations and spaces in Darmstadt.
