call for applications composition academy Musica 2018

The artistic committee will assign 10 composers born after January 1st, 1983 with works written for: 1. vocal sextet: coloratura soprano, lyric soprano, mezzo-soprano, tenor, baritone, basssolo instrument and live electronics 2. solo instruments: flute (also piccolo, alto), B flat clarinet (also bass clarinet), tenor trombone (also alto, bass), piano, viola electronics: the software used will be Max/MSP. Musica is a prestigious European music festival created in 1983. Every autumn, in Strasbourg, Musica presents 20th-century repertoire with a significant place in music history, and confronts it with 21st-century works by both emerging and established composers. In order to involve young composers in this exciting musical voyage of discovery, Musica has created a composition academy, which takes place during the festival.
