The Forum de la Création Musicale (formerly the Forum des Compositeurs) is a non-profit association dedicated to the promotion of composers from the Wallonia-Brussels Federation since 2002. Its role is also to elaborate recommendations towards cultural institutions at both national and international levels and to serve as an information and documentation centre for all actors concerned by musical creation. In order to provide itself with instruments for promotion and exchange with its various partners, the FCM has created two biennial events which alternate with each other, the Loop Festival (who got the EFFE Label) and the Belgian Music Days. Other activities include the publication of scores, the journal les Carnets du Forum, the André Souris Prize, residencies and workshops for ensembles and composers, and conference concerts. The FCM is a member of the International Society of Contemporary Music (ISCM) and the European Composers and Songwriters Alliance (ECSA). It is supported by the Fédération Wallonie Bruxelles, the Société Anonyme Belge d’Auteurs de Musique (Sabam) and the Conseil de la Musique de la Communauté française Wallonie-Bruxelles.
