Rodrigo Herrera Muñoz: Postre Colchaguino

Rodrigo Herrera Muñoz (b. 1981) studied composition at the Catholic University of Chile, being a student of Alejandro Guarello, Pablo Aranda, and Rafael Díaz. His works have been performed by the following groups: Symphony Orchestra of the University of La Serena, PUCV Chamber Orchestra, Camerata Universidad de Los Andes, Chilean Chamber Orchestra, Chilean Symphony Orchestra, Marga Marga Orchestra, Valdivia Chamber Orchestra, Concepción Symphony Orchestra, Vocal Ensemble E’boca, and ConcertoVocale Vocal Ensemble. Additionally, he has ventured into acting, as a French Horn performer, being a member of the Sibelius Ensemble of Viña del Mar, and in choral conducting, being an assistant to the Student Choir of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile in Santiago.

Postre Colchaguino is a 2020 composition scored for an ensemble of early music instruments. Featured here is a performance recorded during the pandemic by Orquesta barroca Nuevo Mundo.
